Who we are

The Tamdown app and web portal are provided by Tamdown Group Ltd for use by its employees to record and manage quality-assurance evidence.

What we collect

• Your name and work email address. Collected when you sign in. Authentication is handled by our provider, Clerk.
• Photographs. Photos you take with the camera, or images you choose from your photo library, when you upload them as QA evidence.
• Location. The location where an evidence photo was taken, when your device makes it available and you have granted location permission. This is optional — the app works without it.
• App and web portal analytics and diagnostics. We use PostHog to maintain and improve Tamdown. It receives an identified profile containing your Clerk account identifier, work email address and role, together with product usage, performance information, errors and diagnostic logs from the app, web portal and backend.

How analytics and diagnostics are used

We use this information to understand how Tamdown is used, improve its features and performance, and investigate reliability issues. We do not use it for advertising, sell personal data, or track you across other apps or websites. Autocapture, session replay, touch capture, rage-click capture and location analytics are disabled.

What analytics does not include

Apart from the Clerk account identifier used for the analytics profile, we exclude evidence photos, coordinates, site, project and other user identifiers, URLs, file paths, filenames and tokens before analytics and diagnostic data leaves Tamdown. Web routes are reduced to safe page names, so dynamic route values and query strings are not sent to PostHog.

Where it's stored

QA records and app data are stored on Convex, the app's backend service. Analytics and diagnostic data is processed in PostHog's US cloud service.

Retention

QA evidence photos, checklist responses and stage sign-offs are retained as company quality records.

Your rights and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the app: Account tab → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, name, email, sign-in and site access. QA evidence and sign-offs you recorded are retained as company records and are re-attributed to "Deleted user". We also delete the associated PostHog person and analytics history.
